Over the past 30+ years, I have built a varied business career and raised two strong children, all with my amazing and supportive wife by my side. I have been fortunate to be able to carve out time for activities I enjoy – including cooking, watching independent films, learning kirtan and piano, and reading about history, philosophy, and religion.
In the summer of 2014, I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. This has propelled me to get into my long awaited, cherished activity of writing. Writing is part therapy for me, part a desire to share my ideas.
In this blog, I will write about human emotions, provide commentary on Sikh writings, and share my observations about life. My rich SIkh faith (a religion born in the fertile soil of ideas in Punjab, India) is the root of my understanding of nature, but my interest in other traditions is a key lever in my thought process. Radiant Return is my pursuit to find the brilliance of our true nature.
My passion for writing is accompanied with a love of discourse. I hope that my writings will push you to contemplate on the issues I bring up, and I also hope you will take the time to share your thoughts and comments.
